Ellen Farrell

Ellen is a maker, designer and artist. Born and raised in the South West, Ellen went to university in Manchester and has since gone on to work all over the UK in various arts roles within theatre, opera, festivals and other live events, she is currently working in the art department within the Film and TV industry.

In 2019, Ellen assisted set and costume designer Holly Pigott (Fleabag, 2019) on the Sam Shepard play Ages of the Moon that was performed at The Vaults Theatre, as well as Aurora, an opera that was performed both at Bury Court and then again at the Arcola Theatre in East London as part of Grimeborn festival.

Ellen has worked for Decordia (a Salford based design agency) at Boardmasters, Truck, Parklife and BlueDot as part of the decor crew for the last 4 years. Building and installing festival sets as well as managing teams of volunteers. Last year as part of Decordia, Ellen was teaching online workshops.
