Frankie Fox
Frankie is a filmmaker based in the South West of England, known for his textural, atmospheric style. His debut short film, Goodbye Python, was the first sci-fi film by a transgender director to receive public funding in the UK. Nominated for Best British Short at the BAFTA-qualifying Iris Prize at the beginning of its festival run, it screened at BFI Flare, Encounters, and other major festivals before streaming on Channel 4. Frankie has since directed commercial work for brands like Jägermeister and Instax, and more recently, received early development funding from the BFI for his feature film project Entangled in 2024. Aside from writing and directing, Frankie has also worked as a professional treatment designer for close to 10 years — having created high-impact pitch decks for major production companies, and securing funding for nearly every project he’s worked on.
