Luke Ripley is a Lighting Technician and Director of Photography working across Film, HETV, commercials, documentaries, and branded content.

With over six years of experience in lighting departments, he has worked on a wide range of productions, most recently completing three blocks on Disney’s Rivals. He holds IPAF 3A & 3B licences and is trained in Temporary Electrical Installations (BS7909).

Alongside his lighting work, Luke operates as a cinematographer and documentary filmmaker. With over 10 years in the creative industry, he has directed and shot projects across the UK, Europe, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and North Africa. His work focuses on human connection, culture, adventure, and the natural world.

Most recently, he self-shot and produced Mountains of the Mind, a feature-length documentary following a 300km journey through the Himalayas. When not on set, Luke creates documentary films and educational content through his YouTube channel, sharing his passion for filmmaking and visual storytelling.
