Sue Gibson Wildlife DOP
I’m a BAFTA (Apple’s Tiny World & Sky Predators) & EMMY (Wild Arabia) nominated, and RTS West winner (Natural World: Pangolins) wildlife DOP and have been working in the camera department for over 20 years. I started out as a camera assistant in commercials then did a stint in editorial for the BBC Natural History Unit, which led me to wildlife. My work has been broadcast on BBC, Nat Geo, Netflix, Apple, Disney, PBS, Discovery, Terra Mater, and Sky. I’ve filmed extensively in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Madagascar, Zimbabwe), and in Europe, Asia, and North, Central & South America. I shoot long lens and sync (Gardener’s World, The One Show) as well as Shotover/GSS, high-speed, timelapse, thermal, and macro. I also have a level 1 IRATA rope access qualification for filming at height.
